Pink & Peplum

Getting dressed for church is one of the more stressful parts of my week. I'm not sure why, but I have the hardest time coming up with/deciding on what outfit to wear. I like to come up with new outfits that I haven't worn before that still has a lot of visual interest (plain sweater and plan skirt? Hard for me to personally get excited about). Every outfit I wear has to have some sort of pattern or visual interest as well as more than one distinct texture. And there must be a necklace. Always.

I was having a particularly hard time coming up with an outfit a few weeks ago when I came up with this one and I must say, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. The peplum adds visual interest, the embroidered tee adds a touch of texture, the the subtle striped skirt goes well with the leopard heels. And the bag is just fun and colorful :)

How do you like to put together your outfits?

Happy That: It's WAAARRRRMMMMMMM. Weather has such a big impact on my mood and overall outlook on life. So needless to say, I'm much much happier now.
Stressed About: My event this Thursday. It's cocktail-attire and the J. Crew dress I ordered a month ago still has not shipped :( J. Crew has forsaken me and it's not fair.
So If: Anyone has a black bodycon midi-length dress in a size small that I could borrow, lemme know ;)

  1. Call J.Crew about your order. That's just not cool. They should be able to fulfill it or give you something in return for messing up your order. I've had them cancel orders and me not get the emails that it was canceled too. Boo on that.
