Short-Sleeve Chambray

Top: J. Crew Factory // Necklace: Nordstrom Rack (similar)  // Clutch: Coach (splurge, steal) // Pants:    H&M // Shoes: Old Navy

I don't really think there is such a thing as too many chambray shirts. At least I hope there isn't, because my collection keeps growing without showing any signs of slowing down. I had been eyeing this short-sleeve hambray top for several weeks, but could never bring myself to get it online. Last weekend though after a quick trip to Louisville, Husband & I stopped at the ever-classy & delicious Cracker Barrel and realized that we were right by the Edinburgh Outlets. They had some great stores and even though it was packed, we each found a couple of good pieces. I saw that the J. Crew Factory store had the short-sleeve chambray on the mannequin in the window so I asked a worker there to help me track it down. Eventually we determined that that was THE last one in the store so she kindly took it off the mannequin for me to try on. A true miracle then occurred because IT FIT ME PERFECTLY. I was feeling cautiously optimistic at this point because I was worried it would still ring up kind of pricey, but I was wrong. It rang up for $17. SEVENTEEN. That's like, two bottles of Essie nail polish. I could hardly believe it, especially since it was originally $68. I was quite pleased.

What are your plans for this wonderful weekend? Thanks for reading this week!

Just: Sewed a slit shut on my new denim pencil skirt. We'll see how it holds up :)
Excited That: My mom & sister come home from Italy TOMORROW! I'm hoping they're bringing some fabulous leather goods back.
In the Midst of: Doing laundry before work. Which Bingley finds insanely entertaining for some strange reason.
Days Until Christmas: 153

  1. What a great deal! There is no limit to the amount of chambray shirts one can own. I might be a little embarrassed to share the number of them in my closet.
